Terri Dent

Terri Dent is home grown from Chatham-Kent.
Her roots began on a farm in Raleigh Township.
Terri moved to the big city of Chatham when she married in ’71 – but the love of the land and her passion for nature has always remained in her blood.
Terri’s big push into horticulture started in the 80’s when she started taking various horticultural courses and programs. 
She has a diploma in gardening and landscape design and is pursuing a horticultural degree.
One of Terri’s designs won top honours from the Communities in Bloom Ontario Committee for the Beautification plan that she created for Chatham-Kent Secondary High School.
Terri was also one of the people involved in starting up the Garden Tours in Chatham in the early 1990’s.
She has won several local and regional gardening awards.
The Dent’s garden has been published in several magazines and was even listed as one of the top Southwestern Ontario small residential gardens in the 2004 tourism book – “Ontario’s Great Gardens to Visit”, authored by Patricia Singer.
Terri has done numerous speaking engagements with business and church groups, libraries and other Horticultural Societies.
She sits on the Board of Directors for the Blenheim-Harwich Horticultural Society and she also writes a weekly garden column for a website newspaper “The C-K Times.ca”.
Terri is a member of the Ontario Horticultural Association and is listed on their speaker series schedule.
