Communities in Bloom...

Chatham-Kent Communities in Bloom (CiB) has been a celebrated Municipal-wide effort for over 10 seasons and won the coveted National Title in 2010!

For many, especially those with young families or those with an aspiring green thumb, the CiB information booth is instinctively one of their first stops as they make their way through the annual show.

CiB booth volunteers WILL OFFER those that choose to participate in a show-wide scavenger hunt for the CiB logo A FREE SEEDLING of the current Chatham-Kent Flower of the Year (while quantities last) and BE ENTERED INTO the DRAW for over 50 different gift certificates generously donated by our local nursery and garden centres!

The booth is CiB’s opportunity to promote Chatham-Kent’s success, endless positive aspects of our community and to inform show patrons of how Communities in Bloom is about so much more than just flowers!

The competition takes into consideration the activities of the entire community and contenders are marked using a very detailed evaluation in the following 8 judging criteria which ultimately characterize a flourishing or blossoming community:

Congratulations Chatham-Kent!

Our repeated success in the program is recognition for the outstanding quality of life that has been established here. It gives credit to the countless ongoing efforts of citizens of all ages, the municipal government, local organizations and businesses.
